Party season is just around the corner and if you like to make your own food for your get-togethers, try these fab mini pizza party bites! If you use shop-bought dough and sauce, you can make them in 15 minutes, or, if you’re a better baker than me, you could, of course, make your own dough!

It’s a great activity for the kids to try too – give them a range of colourful toppings and let them go wild!

Instructions
  1. Flour the work surface and rolling pin, then roll out the pizza dough until approximately 2-3mm thick.
  2. Using a biscuit cutter or glass, cut out 12 circles, re-rolling the dough to use it all up. Place the circles into a lightly-greased muffin tray and press into the sides.
  3. Put a heaped teaspoon of tomato pizza sauce into each pastry case. Be careful not to add too much or it will ooze out when cooked!
  4. Add your chosen toppings. We used chopped chicken, pepperoni and mozzerella. Sprinkle with a little basil.
  5. Pop in the oven for around 20 minutes at gas mark 8 or 230 Celcius. Remove when the pastry is browned and the cheese is melted.
  6. Allow to cool a little before eating, as the sauce will be very hot!
Recipe Notes

These pizzas are great for kids to make. They may need a little help rolling the dough, as it's pretty elastic and springs back! You can add absolutely any toppings you like as long as they're chopped pretty small!

Let me know in the comments if you try them, and what your favourite toppings are!

  1. Oooo these look delicious! We decorate our own pizzas regularly by buying ready-made pizza bases but I know my kids would love to make it even more authentic by doing the dough ourselves too – delicious! #blogcrush

  2. Oh these do sound great. I love party food but normally end up buying pre made frozen party food and it’s never as good as it promises! I’m going to get the kids to make these with me this weekend!
